I always find that putting designs on wearable accessories is a little like fitting into a pair of jeans you haven’t worn in awhile…you can never really get a good sense of what’s going to happen until you try them on. Such is the case with the Slice of Pie baseball cap. The graphics I had already created, that was the easy part.
The difficulty came with the layout and placement of those graphics in a two dimensional mock-up that would eventually go onto a three dimensional product, mostly because many custom print shops won’t run you a test, or a couple if you need them. I had extremely strict guidelines to follow with the baseball cap, and in this case the exact placement had to be precise…the result? Nailed it!
